Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to ensure that all employees receive adequate safety training.

Policy 

This municipality will provide and ensure that all employees participate in the following safety training:

Ø      New employee policy and safety orientations for all new hires;

Ø      Job-specific training as required.

Ø      All new employees will be informed of their right to refuse work that puts them in imminent danger.

In addition, safety meetings involving all employees will be held on a regular basis.
