Classification of User Groups

This is a new policy which defines the various user groups as it pertains to any of the Town of Lacombe Recreation facilities.

The following classifications will be the basis of assessment of rates and fees for Town of Lacombe Recreation facilities for various user groups:

Local Minor Sport groups that offer youth sport programs for residents in the Lacombe and District Recreation Area

Local Adult adult sport groups or individuals reside in the Lacombe and District Recreation Area and participate in local leagues

Non-local Minor Sport youth groups or individual who live outside the Lacombe and District Recreation Area

Non-local Adult and individual or adult sport group that resides outside Lacombe and District Recreation Area and/or participates in leagues outside of the community

Commercial an individual, group of individuals or business renting the facilities for a ‘for profit' event

‘for profit' refers to an individual, group of individuals or business booking a facility to sell a product or service and/or charging a fee such that the proceeds from the booking are for the profit of the individual, group of individuals or business

Final decision on the classification of a particular user group rests with the Lacombe and District Recreation Parks and Culture Board.
