the property owner and/or a responsible representative of the owner.
Listed below are some of the
recommendations and precautions to alert you to the steps necessary
to provide a reasonable degree of fire and/or life safety:
A rekindle or second fire from
a hot spot is possible. A fire watch should be posted
with a means to extinguish hot spots for at least 24 hours.
This structure may have been
weakened by the incident. Until a structural survey can
be made, it is advisable to keep all unnecessary people out of
and away from the building.
Some or all of the utilities
may have been shut off. It is advisable to contact the
appropriate utility company before turning the service on.
Rebuilding and/or repairing
the damage will require a permit from the Town Building
Department
It may be necessary to provide
a security guard, barricades, fences or other means of
boarding up to keep people out of the involved property.
Remove and/or provide security
of valuables from theft and vandalism.
Provide protection of further
damage from the weather.
