WHEREAS the Town of Blackfalds is
desirous of entering into a contract to utilize personnel and equipment
for municipal activities for which the Town of Blackfalds utilization
rates do not warrant the Town of Blackfalds possessing such resources
itself; and WHEREAS the Town of Lacombe has the
necessary resources and desire to provide such personnel and equipment
to the Town of Blackfalds in order to increase the Town of Lacombe's personnel and
equipment utilization rates and help offset the Town of Lacombe's personnel and
equipment costs. NOW THEREFORE the parties to this
agreement, in consideration of mutual terms, covenants and conditions
hereinafter contained, agree as follows: SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED 1.1 The Town
of Lacombe shall provide Building Inspection Services to the Town of
Blackfalds as per the following terms, and the terms outlined in
Appendix A. A) The
Town of Lacombe shall provide administrative support to the Safety Codes
Officer when he is doing Town of Blackfalds work.
Any forms or correspondence issued by the Safety Codes Officer on
behalf of the Town of Blackfalds shall be issued on forms or letterhead
bearing Town of Blackfalds identification.
Such forms or letterhead shall be provided by the Town of
Blackfalds at the Town of Blackfalds cost. B) The
Town of Lacombe shall provide the Town of Blackfalds with a copy of all
building permit correspondence issued along with any plans stamped and
endorsed by the Safety Codes Officer relating to the Town of Blackfalds
work. C) The
Town of Lacombe shall only provide Building Inspection services at the
Town of Blackfalds request. The
receipt of a completed and paid for building permit application at the
Town of Lacombe office shall be recognized as a formal request from the
Town of Blackfalds for building inspection services. D)
The Town of Lacombe will conduct inspections as per the Safety
Codes Act. The town and its Safety Codes Officer are certified with the
Safety Codes Council of Alberta to conduct building inspections as
identified in the Town of Lacombe’s Quality Management Plan.
