Water & Sewer Rates Fees & Charges |

Where the owner or customer is
responsible for the payment of certain charges and fees pursuant to the
Town of Lacombe Water and Sewer By-law No. 70 the following shall apply: 1.
In this policy: "Bylaw"
shall mean Town of Lacombe
Water and Sewer By-law No. 70 "Town"
shall, depending on the context of its use, mean the Municipal
Corporation of the Town of Lacombe, its administration and staff, agents
or representatives. 2.
Where an inspection by the Town is required under Section 34 of
the Bylaw, the inspection fee shall be $30.00 per hour with a minimum
charge of $30.00 3.
Where the
Town purchases or supplies any materials on behalf of or to a third
party, there shall be charged an administration fee of 15% of the costs
of the materials to cover administration and handling, such fee to be in
addition to the costs of materials, freight and shipping, Goods and
Service Tax, and any other additional fees. 4.
Where the
Town provides repair and construction services under the provisions of
the Bylaw to a third party other than sewer cleaning services, the
following rates shall be levied: Personnel- 115% of current wage rate of Level G-5, Step 5 established
under pursuant to Policy 14/122 Equipment- at prevailing per hour rental rates for each piece of equipment used
as established in Common Services Policy. 5.
Where cleaning of a sewer line is required under Clause 48(2) of
the Bylaw the charges levied for cleaning a sewer service with a power
flusher shall be based on present equipment rate charges with a minimum charge of $127.75/hour. 6.
A fee in
the amount of $30.00, to be known as a connection fee, shall be levied
on each application for utility service. 7.
A fee in
the amount of $30.00, to be known as a reconnection fee, shall be levied
on any account that has been turned off for non-payment in accordance
with Section 75 of the Bylaw. Where reconnection of a service is
required after 3:45 p.m. on any week day, or on weekends or holidays a
further $95.00, in addition to any other charge, is payable. 8.
The
deposit required to initiate a meter accuracy test under Section 62 of
the Bylaw shall be $85.00. 9.
The
refundable water deposit collected in accordance with Section 69 of the
Bylaw shall be: a) Single
Family/Duplex: Renters $135.00 b)
3-plex/4-plex/up to a 4 suite apartment
$200.00 c)
5 suite apartment to 12 suite apartment, inclusive
$400.00 d)
Over 12 suite apartment
$665.00 e)
Commercial outlets with the exception of restaurants
$335.00 f)
Restaurants
$665.00 10. Charges
for installation of water, sanitary sewer and storm sewer service lines
from the main to the property line shall be: Basic
