Tree Memorialization

1.             Public Works to determine variety, size and price of trees.  See attached list.

2.             Tree prices to be reviewed annually by Public Works

3.             Placement of trees to be pre-determined by Public Works/Recreation Department with the applicant having the option to chose which location the tree will be planted in.  See attached map.

4.             Plaques will not be placed on the tree.

5.             Maintenance of trees will be responsibility of Public Works as per their current procedures.

6.             Donors will be required to complete an application for the Tree Memorial Program.

7.             A certificate for the Tree Memorial Program will be available to all applicants.

8.             Public Works to determine planting time of tree.

9.             A tax receipt for the charitable donation will be provided.

  Tree and Park Bench Memorial Program

Park Bench 

1.             The Town of Lacombe will select the manufacturer of the park bench.

2.             One park bench only will be available for purchase by the donor.

3.             Donor to complete a Park Bench application indicating inscription desired on plaque.  Cost of the plaque will be included in the price of the park bench.

4.             Placement of bench to be pre-determined by Public Works/Recreation with selection of options by donor.  See attached map.

5.             Cost of the bench will be $1500.00 plus GST, and will be reviewed annually. (Note Well:  An additional charge of $70 will be added to the price if total words on the plaque exceed eight)

6.             Public Works will stake the area for placement of the cement pad.

7.             A tax receipt for the charitable donation will be provided.  

Contractor Responsibilities 

• Provide concrete bench 7 feet x 3 feet as per attached photo

• Install the plaque

• Pour cement base

• Install bench at requested location – between May and November
