Recreation Park Concession Policy

THAT WHEREAS with the increased utilization of the Town's ball diamonds, user groups utilizing these facilities are seeking permission to provide a concession service during their games and/or tournaments;

 

AND WHEREAS these facilities are Town owned, the municipality has exclusive concession rights;

 

AND WHEREAS conflicts can arise when both a private concession contractor and user group each set up a concession;

 

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council concur with the recommendation by the Recreation, Parks and Culture Service Board and the following policy be adopted to regulate the operation of a concession at a recreational park

 

1.     The Town will authorize user groups the right to operate a concession at a recreational park.

 

2.     Private concession contractors are only allowed to operate a concession at the recreational park upon a request from a user group.

 

3.     Each user group must supply a damage deposit cheque as required by the Town of Lacombe.
