WHEREAS
a policy for a group camping area at the Michener Park Pond area has
been adopted; and
WHEREAS
rates need to be established for rental of the group camping area at the
Michener Park Pond,
THEREFORE
THE BOARD RECOMMENDS TO COUNCIL THAT a Michener Park Pond area group
camping rate be adopted as follows.
1.
Michener Park Pond are group camping rate:
Weekends:
$100 plus $6.00/unit/night
Five
Days (four nights):
$200 plus $6.00/unit/night
Additional
Day $50/day plus $6.00/unit/night
A
weekend is defined as:
a)
Friday, Saturday and Sunday (2 nights) OR
b)
Saturday, Sunday, Monday (2 nights)

2.
A $100.00 non-refundable deposit is required upon booking the
Michener Park Pond group camping area.
This deposit will be applied to the final camping charges.
In the event of cancellation or no-show, the deposit is
forfeited.
3.
A
damage deposit of $200.00 will be left with the Recreation Services
Office. The full damage
deposit will be returned after the event if no damage to the area has
occurred and all obligations as outlined in the policy are met.
Costs relating to unmet obligations as outlined in this policy
will be deducted from the damage deposit and the balance shall be
returned.
Where
damage has occurred or major clean up is required, the group
representative may be invoiced for the remaining costs involved (above
$200.00) or, in the case of malicious damage or excessive litter,
appropriate charges may be laid.
4.
The rental fee will include the use of the gazebo, fire wood,
picnic tables, and portable toilet.
If an additional clean out for the toilet is requested by the
group there will be a fee of $45.00 plus GST per clean out.
