The
initial task undertaken as part of the 2002 Transportation Study was to review
previous transportation studies undertaken for the Town and Alberta
Transportation. While other documents were available, the main focus was
directed toward a review of the 1990
Transportation Study undertaken by B-A Consulting Group, the 1997
Heritage Area Traffic Study undertaken by the UMA Group, and the 1998
Highway 2A Transportation Study undertaken by Stantec Consulting. Of the
three, the 1990 Transportation Study was given particular attention as the 2002
Transportation Study effectively represented an update to that document.
