Public consultation was a significant component of the Lacombe Transportation Study process. As such, regular reference to community objectives and the solicitation of community input throughout the project recognized public input as essential to the successful completion of the transportation study process.
The objectives of the public consultation process were to ensure that the public had meaningful opportunities to provide input into the development of the transportation study, and to enhance the public’s understanding of the need for the recommendations and initiatives outlined in the plan.
These objectives constituted the framework for the public consultation activities.
