Two public open houses were scheduled as part of the study process. The first was held on April 23rd, 2002 near to the beginning of the project to introduce the transportation study terms of reference to the public and to seek public input into the process, schedule and issues for the project. The second Open House was held on June 18th, 2002 to present the findings of the study to the public in advance of issuing a Draft Report and to solicit feedback on the recommendations developed by Bunt & Associates.
Representatives from Bunt & Associates, the Town of Lacombe and Alberta Transportation were all present at both Open Houses to answer questions and to discuss ideas and recommendations with the public. People were also invited to fill out comment forms to ensure that their input was recorded and addressed by the project team.
