This issue was raised at the first Open House by several attendees, and so Bunt & Associates added it to the list of issues to be examined as part of the short term review. An analysis of existing conditions identified a pedestrian crossing issue here, though no data was available to assess the warrant for improved intersection management. It is recommended that the Town monitor the intersection, specifically collecting traffic and pedestrian volume data during the weekday AM, Noon and PM periods to assess the need for improvements to the intersection including the provision of improved pedestrian crossing accommodation. This data would need to be collected during the school term.
