The Design Noise Level (DNL) as set forth for residential areas is to be 60 dB(A) Leg24 and/or 65 dB(A) L10 Peak Hour for truck routes. The building construction of each house is assumed to achieve an addition DNL reduction of 15 dB(A) therefore creating an acceptable DNL of 45 dB(A) within the living structure.
