The study analysis process identified the need to collect data to establish existing conditions and to analyze that data to confirm the current operating conditions at locations throughout the Town, in particular those location identified by the Town as emerging issues. This was assessed and recommendations were made in the previous section of this report.
Once the existing conditions had been resolved, Bunt & Associates undertook the task of developing traffic forecasts for the 20,000 population horizon. The main objective of this exercise was to provide the Town and Alberta Transportation with a recommended road network that would accommodate the future traffic volumes with a level of mobility similar to that which is currently experienced by the Town.
