Future
development in the downtown should require the developer to identify off-street
parking stalls to meet the projected needs of the development. Notwithstanding
this, the increase in laning of Highway 12 can indeed be accommodated without
significantly impacting the availability of parking along the corridor.
If
additional capacity is required on Highway 12 the on-street parking maybe
restricted during peak periods, however, opportunity may be available to permit
parking during off-peak periods.
