A "cherry picker" is used to remove ceiling tiles and light fixtures. The west wall has been removed; it will eventually serve as the entry point to the new library and FCSS office.

Crawl space backfilling and leveling is completed. Only the steel support columns and concrete shell remain in place.

More than 1,000 red bricks salvaged from the exterior walls are hand-cleaned and stacked on pallets. In recognition of LMC history, the bricks will eventually be used to decorate support pillars in the new Lacombe Public Library.

Backfilling of the crawl space with a metre-deep layer of gravel continues. The low concrete walls once supported the LMC floor.

Dozens of truckloads of gravel are used to fill in the metre-deep crawl space that existed beneath the LMC floor. A large opening is cut in the east wall to allow access by heavy machinery.
